Recollections of Goswami Kriyananda

URBAN MYSTIC is a highly personal account of interactions with the Chicago-born spiritual teacher, astrologer, and author Goswami Kriyananda (1928-2015). A Hindu priest in the lineage of Kriya Yoga famously associated with Paramahansa Yogananda, Kriyananda spent the greater part of his life instructing students in the Chicagoland area, having founded the Temple of Kriya Yoga and writing numerous books on spirituality, astrology, and meditation. Ray's account includes both personal anecdotes of time spent with Kriyananda along with glimpses of Goswami's down-to-Earth spiritual teachings.

"Ray Grasse brilliantly conveys the spirit and wisdom of Goswami Kriyananda through anecdotes, long conversations they had together, insightful interviews, and meaningful quotes he’s gleaned from his lectures and writing. Readers will feel they know Kriyananda intimately, even if they never met him. They will wish they had."
